Mayfield Special School educates pupils with SLD, PMLD, and social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. The school operates across three sites, which are 12 miles apart. We are currently seeking exceptional individuals to join our teaching team at Mayfield School in Torquay in September 2025.

We are recruiting for a Full-Time Teacher to work with pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties. Flexible working may be considered for one of these roles. We are also seeking a Part-Time Teacher to work with pupils who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate high expectations of achievement, a vibrant and creative approach to learning, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to develop positive relationships with children. At Mayfield, our core ethos is to support the ongoing development of each pupil's EHCP needs in a safe, nurturing, and happy environment where we are all 'Learning Together to be the best that we can be'.

You Will Have:

  • Expert knowledge of the primary curriculum and the ability to differentiate it for pupils at the earliest stages of learning.
  • Qualified teacher status.
