We are recruiting for Senior Support Workers to work in an established Adults Residential Home based in the high peak of Derbyshire.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication to residents and adhere to the required shift times of 06:45 to 22:15pm.
- Ideally, you will drive and have your own transport as public transport is limited during these times.
- Co-ordinate a team response and provide personal care and support to people with a range of complex and challenging needs to enable them to have choice and control of their lives.
- Experienced in using hoists and have had the relevant manual handling training relevant to the role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care and previous experience and relevant qualifications for administering medications.
- Understanding of and empathy with the needs of vulnerable people.
- Ability to communicate with and relate to a wide range of clients and understanding of the principles of treating others with dignity and respect.
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and national guidance for regulation and good practice understanding the importance of person centred care.
- Must have a DBS on the update service and be able to provide employment references covering the past 2 years as a minimum standard.
