We are recruiting for an experienced Family Support Worker in a residential setting. The role includes working with families, children and babies and it is essential that you have experienced in a similar role. You will have a minimum of Level 3 Health and Social Care which is a key criteria for the role. As a family support worker working within a residential setting the weekly working hours are 40 hours per week over a 7 day week working period. You will be working directly with families, assessing and implementing placement plans, in order to promote, strengthen and to develop parenting skills and to promote the welfare of the child, children or babies at all times. To include, basic baby care, feeding and eating, sleeping, budgeting, safety of the children, discipline, healthy eating lifestyles and choices. There will be the need to undertake key work sessions as directed by the Case Manager and to develop and maintain good working relationships with parents and other family members and professionals including GPs, HVs and social workers. You will need to ensure the completion of all documentation and that this is evidence based and reflective of the circumstances and issues.
