Position: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Derby
Salary: >Β£40,734 OTE - inclusive of sleep ins
Role: Permanent
Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker in the Derby area on a permanent basis. The position for the Senior Support Worker will need to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to all residents. This role is to work with 10-17 year olds with EBD. This role does not offer sponsorship and you must hold a valid UK driving license.
The Senior Support Worker will be responsible for:
- Helping children and young people with leisure interests and skill development inside and outside the home.
- Implementing personal care plans set out for children and young people.
- Assisting with day care activities.
- Communicating with other staff about children and young people's needs/activities.
- Recording children and young people's needs/activities/behaviours in the homes diary system.
- Facilitating regular Service User meetings.
- Carrying out key working sessions.
- Carrying out risk assessments and reviews.
- Shift planning and delegation of tasks.
- Conflict resolution and debriefs at the end of each shift.
The Senior Support Worker will need:
- Must be NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or QCF Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner qualified.
- Full UK driving license.
- Must have at least 2 years experience working with children with EBD and Learning Disabilities.
- Be willing to carry out personal care.
- Hold a full UK valid driving license.
