We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across a range of schools across Derbyshire, offering day to day, short and long term assignments. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and wellbeing.
The Role:
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes
- Provide classroom cover where required in line with HLTA responsibilities
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, KS2 and/or KS3 (depending on placement)
- Work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils, including those with SEN
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- HLTA status (or equivalent relevant qualification/experience)
- Experience working in UK primary and/or secondary schools
- Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A flexible, reliable and proactive approach
