Excellent above average salary & benefits. This full-time permanent role is based at our state-of-the-art Motorcycle Dealership in Mayfield West. This role plays an important part in providing a high-quality service to our customers by preparing and ensuring all motorcycles are washed, polished and detailed and immaculately presented to customers and the sales showrooms in a prompt and timely manner.
As a General Hand you will also collect and deliver motorcycles in and around the Newcastle area and assist the Sales, Service and Parts Teams in a range of other duties. General daily duties include:
- Ensuring all motorcycles are washed, polished and detailed to the highest standards on a daily basis.
- Assisting Sales, Service and Parts departments with duties from goods in, parts picking, pre-delivery of motorcycles.
- Unloading and checking new motorcycles on arrival.
- Forklift driving and offloading of crated motorcycles.
- Van driving, making local deliveries and collections of motorcycles and parts.
- General housekeeping duties ensuring the dealership’s spotless presentation.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the motorcycle washing/detailing area.
- Various other duties assisting Dealership management team.
Skills & experience we are looking for:
- Previous General Hand or detailing experience is highly desirable.
- A passion for motorcycles, you take pride in your daily duties.
- Keen eye for detail, especially when cleaning motorcycles.
- Well versed in manual handling techniques (lifting, pushing/pulling).
- Vibrant, outgoing with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to undertake daily manual handling tasks.
- Confidence in moving and pushing motorcycles around.
- A team player, punctual, reliable with good communication skills.
- Current motorcycle licence and car driver’s licence.
- Forklift licence (LF).
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow direction and work to time schedules.
- Ability to be proactive, work unsupervised and use own initiative.
- Fluent written and spoken English (full Australian work rights).
