As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate, competitive, and timely tender submissions. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop commercially sound proposals, ensuring all technical and contractual requirements are met while maximizing project profitability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical and mechanical estimates
- Develop competitive tender submissions aligned with client requirements
- Ensure all tender documentation is technically correct, complete, and submitted on time
- Maintain strong document control throughout the tender process
- Review contract terms and align them with tender submissions
- Support project handovers by briefing delivery teams on key tender details
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and contractors
- Respond promptly to client queries and provide clarifications during the tender process
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovative tendering strategies
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Trade
- Proven experience in estimating or tendering within electrical, switchboard, or manufacturing/construction industries
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
- Desirable: Strong LV/MV electrical experience with an OEM or EPC
