We are seeking Graduate Consultants to join our London office at Mayer Brown Limited. The role will focus on supporting the delivery of sustainable transport, active travel, and placemaking projects.

As a graduate, you will work alongside experienced consultants and contribute to a wide range of projects, gaining hands-on experience and developing your technical and professional skills. You will:

  • Support and contribute to transport planning projects that prioritise sustainability, active modes of travel, and people-focused places
  • Assist in the development of active travel strategies, street design concepts, and placemaking assessments
  • Support the preparation of feasibility studies and technical reports
  • Use GIS tools to undertake spatial analysis and mapping for transport strategies, movement frameworks, and public realm schemes
  • Assist with data collection, research, and analysis to inform project development
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and local authorities to support the delivery of integrated, sustainable mobility solutions

We’d Love to Hear from You if You:

  • Have recently graduated or are due to graduate in 2026
  • Have (or are predicted) a 2:1 or above in a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in one or more of the following: Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Mathematics, Urban Design, Planning

And can demonstrate:

  • A genuine interest in sustainable transport, walking and cycling infrastructure, and placemaking
  • An understanding (or willingness to learn) of key guidance such as Manual for Streets and LTN 1/20
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach to work
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally

Desired skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS (desirable but not essential)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite
