Purpose of the role:
This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment for both business services professionals and fee-earners (lawyers).
The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight and operational excellence to drive efficient, high-quality recruitment outcomes across the EMEA markets.
Hours:
9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexibility in accordance with the needs of the business.
Our current working from home policy allows for two days working from home, subject to business need. This policy is subject to change and does not form part of contractual terms.
Happy to consider candidates looking for 4 days per week or full time.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
- Compiling and writing business cases for recruitment in conjunction with hiring managers and seeking relevant approvals from senior management;
- Working closely with hiring managers to prepare job descriptions and discuss best method of recruiting.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for business services roles (e.g., finance, B&D & Marketing, IT, HR) and legal professionals (associates, counsel)
- Source candidates through direct outreach, job boards, social media, and agency partnerships
- Conduct screening interviews and coordinate interview processes across jurisdictions when necessary.
- Ensuring candidates are responded to in a timely manner and kept up to date throughout the recruitment process, following up with hiring manager / Partners for feedback and outcomes as required;
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and firm policies across EMEA markets.
- Managing the offer process with hiring managers / Partners.
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and generate recruitment analytics.
- Support employer branding initiatives and inclusive hiring strategies.
- Collaborate with global recruitment teams to ensure consistency and share best practices.
- Managing, updating and improving iCIMS (ATS) on an ongoing basis;
- Maintaining records of all CVs received, status of application, reasons for rejection, source of application etc;
- Supporting with temporary staff requests โ such as paralegals when needed;
- Preparing agency terms of business for both lawyer and business services ensuring agencies have agreed, signed and returned our Terms before accepting an introduction and updating the DMS and tracker in Excel;
- Logging and reporting on recruitment costs;
- Logging and processing recruitment invoices;
- Working closely with the wider HR team to ensure the smooth on-boarding of new employees;
Qualifications
- Educated to at least A level or equivalent.
Experience, skills and personal attributes:
- Proven experience in legal recruitment across EMEA, (in-house or agency), essential.
- Strong understanding of business services functions and legal hiring dynamics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Talent Solutions will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience interviewing business services candidates, preferred.
- Experience working with stakeholders and building influential relationships.
- Experience of working with international colleagues / stakeholders will be an advantage.
- Strong IT skills with literacy in Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent written and spoken English;
- Ability to use own initiative and carry out duties with minimum supervision;
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
- Proven ability to handle high volume workloads;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Adaptable, flexible and reliable approach;
