Hours: Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm with flexibility in accordance with the needs of the business. Our current working from home policy allows for two days working from home, subject to business need. This policy is subject to change and does not form part of contractual terms.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Coordinator: Business Development & Marketing will provide a high level of support to business development and marketing activities whilst working closely with members of the BD and Marketing team in London.
- Business development — supporting the Business Development Team on preparing research and reports, assisting on pitches, RFPs and credentials documents, managing content for various business development tools including the deals database and intranet pages, supporting on business development initiatives.
- Marketing communications — supporting legal directory and award submissions, assisting with the creation and maintenance of marketing materials, creating internal and external communications such as newsletters.
- Pitching – supporting the pitch process with client and market research, seeking information from colleagues across the firm (locally and internationally), drafting text and editing of team profiles.
- Events — support client facing and virtual events for London fee-earners including event planning and administration, compiling target lists through CRM database (InterAction), management of RSVPs and guest data, liaising with in-house design team for materials as well as on-site responsibility for setup and registration of events alongside the events team where necessary.
- Support – helping to manage the content for various business development tools including the deals database, CVs, pitch toolbox, and a variety of client development tools.
The role holder's success will be measured by (a) the quality of deliverables to assist the business development efforts of the firm; (b) the completion of specific projects which may be assigned; (c) their contribution to the Business Development team's overall effectiveness.
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
- Educated to A Level or equivalent.
- An understanding of the legal market and experience of working in an international partnership environment desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of relevant market sectors, especially financial services, would be useful but not essential.
- Previous experience in business development activities.
- IT literate with a strength in research and analysis.
- Proactive with enthusiasm, confidence and energy.
- Delivery and solution focussed with a strong desire to meet the needs and requirements of internal clients under pressure of deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) is essential.
- Attention to detail; tenacious and with a sense of responsibility and ownership.
- A team player with an ability to work independently and under pressure when facing multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
