We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Nurse with prison clearance to join our client's healthcare team in Edinburgh. As a General Nurse with prison clearance, you will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring their well-being while adhering to the unique challenges and security protocols of a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments of inmates, including physical and mental health evaluations. Develop and implement individualized care plans, providing nursing care, medications, and treatments as required.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies within the prison facility. Administer basic life support measures and coordinate with the healthcare team for advanced care when necessary.
- Medication Management: Administer medications accurately and safely, adhering to prescribed dosages and schedules. Monitor inmates for medication compliance and report any adverse reactions or concerns.
- Security and Safety: Comply with all prison security measures and safety protocols. Maintain awareness of potential security risks while providing healthcare services.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for each patient, including electronic health records (EHR). Prepare reports and documentation in accordance with prison healthcare policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
