We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our clients healthcare team in Cambridge. As an RGN in a prison healthcare setting, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive medical care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring their health and well-being while adhering to the unique challenges of a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments of inmates, including physical and mental health evaluations. Develop and implement individualized care plans for inmates, addressing both chronic conditions and acute medical needs.
- Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to proper dosage and timing. Maintain accurate medication records and monitor inmates compliance with medication regimens.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond promptly to medical emergencies within the prison, including assessing and stabilizing patients. Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of timely and appropriate care.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans. Prepare and submit reports as required by prison healthcare policies and regulatory agencies.
- Prison Security and Safety: Comply with all prison security measures and safety protocols. Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with inmates and prison staff.

Qualifications:
