We are seeking a talented Hotel Head Chef to join Claridge’s. Working alongside some of the most talented chefs in London, you will prepare every dish with exacting standards that reflect our commitment to exceptional dining. The Main Kitchen at Claridge’s can be endlessly rewarding for those who take pride in elevating every guest’s experience through outstanding cuisine.
As Hotel Head Chef you will be responsible for:
- The day to day running and leadership of the kitchen
- Ensuring preparation and service of menu items is executed to the desired standards in collaboration with the Culinary Director
- To ensure that strict hygiene controls are kept in all Kitchen areas at all times.
- To monitor food costs and staffing levels in line with approved budgets whilst still maintaining the required levels of service enjoyed by Claridge’s guests.
- To oversee stock levels and ordering within the kitchen.
- To support the training and development of chefs within the Kitchen and instil creativity and inspiration within the team
- To work together with the Culinary Director to continually evolve the menu, best suited to the style of the restaurant and seasonality.
- Ensuring the efficient collaboration with the front of house team within the restaurant.
- To maintain the equipment with Technical Services and Back of Housekeeping in line with Environmental Health and Safety Regulations.
- Support the rest of the kitchen team during service to ensure a smooth operation
Successful candidates for our Hotel Head Chef opportunity will:
- Experience as a Head Chef within an exciting luxury environment; Luxury hotel experience would be beneficial;
- Proven leadership skills and able to lead a high-performing team
- Food safety level 3 qualification as a minimum
- Proven passion for food, quality products, ingredients and guest experience;
- Be a team player with good communication skills;
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment;
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Have a thorough understanding of Forbes and LQA Standards.
