We are seeking a talented Head Waiter / Waitress to join the Dante team at Claridge’s. From the heartbeat of the Greenwich Village to the heart of Mayfair, Dante has crossed the Atlantic to bring its iconic cocktail culture to the timeless elegance of Claridge’s. As a part of the finely tuned and knowledgeable team, you will be serving our guests delicious modern Italian cuisine and world‑class cocktails, creating an unforgettable dining experience. No matter the time of day they join us, you will be there to provide our guests with a seamless service that lingers long after the last sip of their Negronis.

Responsibilities

  • Creating memorable experiences for our guests, simultaneously ensuring that service is prompt and professional.
  • Overseeing a team of waiters, ensuring that our standards are adhered to.
  • Overseeing and assisting in the set up of the dining room including table settings, waiter stations and stock.
  • Ensuring that the dining experience of your guests within your section is unforgettable.
  • Handling complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring that licensing laws, health and safety legislation is adhered to.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridge’s and Dante and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
  • Provide intuitive service, with absolute understanding of our guests needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories.
  • Be motivated, creative and have worked in a similar role, within a five star or fine dining environment.
  • You will have a passion for food and quality products, be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English, a second language is desirable, however this is not a prerequisite.
