We are seeking a driven Goods Receiver to join the Claridge’s Purchasing team. Maybourne operates some of the world’s most extraordinary hotels, including Claridge’s, The Connaught, The Berkeley and The Emory in London, the Maybourne Beverly Hills and the Maybourne Riviera in the South of France, where exceptional experiences and stories of distinction are crafted that celebrate the design and character of every destination.

As part of the Purchasing department, you will pay meticulous attention to every item that enters the hotel and ensure that it is handled and distributed with the same care that defines the service we provide to our guests. It is a department rooted in anticipation and refinement—balancing cost, quality, and timing to support every department behind the scenes.

As Goods Receiver you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving all goods according to the correct specification stated in the purchase order and to the standard of the hotel.
  • Checking all fresh food items delivered against invoices/delivery notes and ensuring that they are correct in terms of quantity and price charged.
  • Liaising with the Assistant Purchasing Manager regarding the arrival of goods without Purchase Order. If the goods are accepted, record the delivery in the Purchasing System.
  • Stamping the delivery documents after receiving the goods in the purchasing system and confirming that actual receipt matches the electronic Purchase Order and keeping a record in the purchasing system for goods not received or partially completed orders.
  • Ensuring storage areas are arranged and continuously maintained in a safe, clean and secure condition.
  • Ensuring that all goods are put away correctly and neatly and that all areas are cleaned according to the cleaning schedule.
  • Assisting with regular stocktakes of the inventory storerooms and other areas as directed.
