We are looking for a talented and passionate full-time Commis Chef to join The Connaught Hélène Darroze Kitchen team at the award-winning 5-Star Deluxe Connaught Hotel. The Role

To assist the Demi Chefs de Partie, Chefs de Partie and Head Chef in the preparation and service of food ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times and to ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the Head Chef.

Responsibilities

  • You will be fully conversant with all Fine Dining menus with regard to the particular items relating to your designated area and other kitchen areas as directed.
  • You will assist in the production of food within your designated section and you will ensure that food preparation is of the highest standard using the finest ingredients at all times.
  • You will ensure that portion control is maintained in accordance with company guidelines, laid down with the Head Chef.
  • You will be alert for opportunities to improve the profitability of the Kitchen operation.
  • You ensure that all Kitchen equipment is safe and in perfect working order and that staff using it are fully trained conform with our Health and Safety Regulations.
