We are seeking an exceptional Senior Night Chef to join the team in the Claridge’s Staff Restaurant Kitchen – Muse. Muse, our colleague restaurant, is a place of rest and retreat for our colleagues during a busy working day. Every service in Muse supports the smooth running of the wider hotel and reflects the same high standards of care and hospitality offered to our guests. As part of the team, your role is defined by purpose, teamwork and the satisfaction of contributing to the hotel’s excellence from behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
- Representing the Head Chef during the night shift.
- Ensuring the food is ready on time and that there is a constant supply on the food line, at designated time for late dinner and breakfast service.
- Ensuring that food preparation for all services are followed accordingly with the current menus and the highest standard at all times.
- Ensuring that the kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the hotel.
- To advise Chef Manager of any ordering needed for breakfast section.
- Assisting the Breakfast Chef with the mise-en-place and production of the breakfast menus.
- Cleaning and tidying the front of the house areas and plates racks, coffee stations after night service and clean the food line in preparation for breakfast service.
- Performing other duties and complying with any reasonable requests from your line manager.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridge’s and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
- Be comfortable and motivated to work by yourself or within a small team dynamic.
- Be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong, motivated individual, ideally someone who has worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment.
Working hours: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM, five days per week, including weekend.
