Main duties and responsibilities:
- To deputize in the place of the Event Operations Manager in his/her absence.
- To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the operations department regarding all service, health and safety and managerial aspects.
- To ensure that Assistant Ops Manager, Supervisors, and sufficient waiters are always assigned to each event in line with guest expectations.
- To carry out necessary preparation in planning for forthcoming events for all operating supplies.
- To prepare departmental rotas on a weekly basis, to ensure all events are staffed and that all casual & agency requirements are booked well in advance.
- To supervise the Events Set-up team during set up and tear down of each event.
- To ensure rooms are set up and ready, 30 minutes prior to each event and in accordance with Berkeley standards.
- To supervise each event in accordance with the guest’s requirements as specified on the function sheet.
