We are seeking a talented Bartender to join the Dante Mayfair team at Claridge’s. From the heartbeat of Greenwich Village to the heart of Mayfair, Dante has crossed the Atlantic to bring its iconic cocktail culture to the timeless elegance of Claridge’s. As part of a finely tuned and knowledgeable team, you will serve our guests delicious modern Italian cuisine and world‑class cocktails, creating an unforgettable dining experience. No matter the time of day they join us, you will be there to provide seamless service that lingers long after the last sip of their Negroni’s.
Responsibilities
- Creating memorable experiences for our guests, simultaneously ensuring that service is prompt and professional.
- Having a complete, but expanding, knowledge of our cocktails, wines by the glass, spirits and beers and a thorough understanding of our food menu items.
- Guiding the guests’ individual experience with your knowledge of the menus and wine lists, giving them a glimpse of their upcoming dining experience.
- Being leaders behind the bar, mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge.
- Leading a section and following the steps of service on the bar floor and assisting in the dining room when necessary.
- Handling complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring that licensing laws, health and safety legislation is adhered to.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridge’s and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
- Provide intuitive service, with absolute understanding of our guests needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories.
- Be motivated, creative and have worked in a similar role, within a five star or fine dining environment.
- Have a passion for food and quality products, be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
