Overview

We are looking for a talented and passionate full-time Baker Commis Chef to join our Pastry Kitchen at the award-winning 5-Star Deluxe hotel – The Connaught.

This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week.

As Baker Commis Chef, you will assist with the production of breakfast pastries, bread products and pastry items in the Bakery.

You will assist with all the special bakery items needed for the hotel operations of the day and the daily bread served in Jean-Georges Restaurant, ensuring high quality of food and service at all times.

Responsibilities

As Baker Commis Chef, you will assist the pastry team in the preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.

You will ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are kept clean and tidy to the standards required.

You will take an organised approach to your role, prioritise effectively to ensure the smooth running of your section, share your knowledge and support the brigade.

You will have previous experience at a similar level and have proven skills within a quality hotel and/or restaurant Pastry team.
