Main duties and responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Safety & Security in developing and implementing the Security, Safety and Business Resilience Strategy across The Berkeley and The Emory.
  • Translate strategic objectives into operational plans, ensuring departmental priorities are delivered effectively.
  • Provide leadership, direction and governance across all aspects of Security, Fire Safety, Health & Safety and Business Resilience.
  • Lead the development, review and continuous improvement of departmental policies, procedures and standards.
  • Act as the delegated representative of the Director of Safety & Security during periods of absence.
  • Represent the Security & Safety Department at senior leadership, risk management and operational review meetings as required.
