The role of the Regional Commercial Finance Business Partner is to act as the strategic finance partner to the region, driving profitable growth, disciplined investment, and improved commercial performance across markets.

The role is accountable for maximising return on investment across regional initiatives by embedding finance into commercial decision making and acting as a catalyst for performance improvement.

The Regional Commercial Finance Business Partner operates as a change agent - challenging assumptions, improving execution, and embedding best‑in‑class financial disciplines across markets and channels.

The role ensures sustainable performance improvements through data‑led insights, rigorous investment governance, and enhanced decision quality.

What you will be doing

  • Commercial Performance & P&L Ownership
  • Own and manage the full regional P&L, including revenue, gross margin, contribution, and operating costs.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and longrange planning for the Region.
  • Provide clear performance insights and variance analysis against plan and prior year.
  • Investment Evaluation & ROI Management
  • Partner with Regional Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to evaluate investment cases.
  • Establish and track clear ROI metrics, ensuring benefits realisation post investment.
  • Challenge underperforming initiatives and redirect spend to higher return opportunities.
  • Pricing, Promotions & Contribution Optimisation
  • Drive pricing, discounting, and promotional effectiveness across digital channels.
  • Analyse contribution margin by channel, customer, and product to optimise profitability.
  • Support test‑and‑learn initiatives with robust financial evaluation.
  • Inventory, Working Capital & Cash
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Commercial teams to optimise inventory aligned with regional demand.
  • Improve stock turn, reduce obsolescence risk, and accelerate cash conversion.
  • Provide insight into demand volatility and its impact on inventory and cash.
  • Decision Support & Transformation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior regional and market leadership.
  • Translate complex data into clear commercial actions and decisions.
  • Embed bestpractice financial governance, reporting, and performance management across markets.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, including analytics, automation, and enhanced KPIs.
  • Measures of Success
  • Regional P&L performance vs. plan and prior year.
  • Forecast accuracy and visibility of risks & opportunities.
  • Measurable improvement in ROI on regional investments.
  • Improved contribution margins across markets/channels.
  • Reduced stock risk and improved cash.

What skills and experiences you'll need to ace this job

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience within regional or multimarket organisations.
  • Proven track record in P&L ownership, forecasting, and investment evaluation.
  • Highly analytical with strong financial modelling and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong Power Point and Excel capability.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively.
  • Agile, changeoriented mindset with the ability to operate in fastpaced, evolving environments.
