Senior Regional Marketing Manager Location: UK based with regular travel to our Paris Office Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Required Skills – German Language Skills We\’re looking for a talented Senior Regional Marketing Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Head of Marketing Europe, this role is responsible for leading our regional category and commercial strategy into action. You will also work closely with the rest of the EU Marketing team to ensure brand marketing and shopper marketing plans feed into and support your category and channel growth targets. Identify the key market insights: build and utilise relevant market, consumer, and performance insights to define the regional category and channel strategy. Review the specificities of competition in your markets to inform brand and product positioning, as well as 5P planning and Must Win battles. Stay ahead of any competitive evolution and bring insights to the relevant forums for decision-making/information/Activity-Based Planning. Define the market growth strategy: own the strategic direction for assigned markets, defining priority categories and driving commercial agendas around the 5 P’s to meet targets, ensuring positive flow-through to contribution throughout the P&L. Define the annual 5P’s plan by channel: working with the Global Category teams, share regional insights to define regional category strategies on product, price, promotion, place, presentation; provide a clear plan by channel and lead the regional teams (Sales and other Regional Marketing teams) on implementation through monthly meeting reviews. Manage the regional product portfolio: create and manage the regional assortment plan by channel whilst achieving given commercial and supply chain KPI’s (ABCD SKU efficiency). Determine the regional NPD & EPD plans: identify product and packaging gaps in market using insights and drive NPD initiatives through the global Category teams for the regional market requirements. Input commercials into NPD business cases where required. Pricing & promotions: own the Regional pricing recommendations, in line with competitor benchmarks, including any CPI recommendations, analysis & tracking of CPI and ASP changes in the market place. Create effective promotional strategies by category by channel and track performance. Create the regional sell-in story: develop compelling stories for our brand, product & category plans working with the Regional & Global Marketing teams. Joint Business Planning: work with the Regional Sales team to build annual 5P recommendations tailored to priority accounts and track performance and implementation monthly. Key accounts, distributors & field Sales sell-in toolkits: develop self-serve 5P guidelines and trackers for the Sales teams to leverage in their daily work and for you to track plans by customers. Ensure training and compliance to optimize cross-functional work. Trade Activation: work with the Europe Shopper Marketing Manager to develop best-in-class trade activations for online and instore channels, in line with the market category and channel strategies, and annual priority customers JBP. This can include : online retail marketing, trade catalogues, instore display programs, trade shows. Budget and Project Management: build and allocate the Regional Trade Marketing budget to relevant and ROI-efficient initiatives supporting our category and channel annual targets. With the help of the Shopper Marketing Manager, manage the supplier and PO processes with Legal, Procurement and Finance. Ensure supplier-lead projects are met OTIF. Brand and Consumer marketing: support and align with the Head of Marketing Europe to ensure brand marketing plans for your region feed into and support your category and channel growth targets. Experience: Proven experience across a diversity of regional product and brand marketing, trade marketing and category management roles in competitive FMCG industries. Languages: German (native or fluent), English (fluent), another European language is a plus (French or Dutch in priority, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) Analysis: be able to create meaningful insights from the data available Commercial: manage the category P&L, create the product commercials Organisation skills: create and manage the regional 4P plan according to business objectives and NPD or trade projects lead-times If this sounds like an exciting opportunity for you, please apply online.
