We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the indirect procurement team as an indirect procurement assistant. You’ll be helping to ensure indirect procurement activities are delivered in a way that reflects best practice whilst supporting global business objectives. Building strong relationships with colleagues across the business is essential and you will also need to keep an eye out for opportunities for future projects. Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Manager, you’ll be confident in sharing your own ideas of how to improve and develop the function. It’s a small team of two, but part of a wider team incorporating both the legal and compliance functions.
What you will be doing:
- Play a key supporting role in the indirect procurement function.
- Ensure compliance with the indirect procurement policy.
- Lead on smaller scale indirect procurement projects across the full end to end of business operations.
- Support the Indirect Procurement Manager on large scale projects.
- Support in the delivery of the Indirect Procurement key KPI metrics.
- Negotiate pricing and payment terms with new suppliers.
- Own and manage the new supplier set up procedure.
- Proactively look for cost savings and efficiencies in the supply chain and ways of working.
- Help to manage and mitigate indirect procurement risks.

- Procurement experience would be a positive but is not essential.
