Our client, a top City financial Institution is looking for a Legal & Compliance Assistant to support the Corporate & Trading Operations Legal Team. Based on the trading floor, you will be supporting the Head of Legal and the broader legal and compliance team with all aspects of administration and documentation compliance processes. This role is ideally suited to a degree-level educated Legal Administrator or Legal Secretary with proven experience of supporting an in-house Compliance or Corporate Legal team.
- Scheduling and attendance at board meetings and meetings of various committees.
- Writing meeting minutes and circulating them to the Directors and other relevant staff.
- Collating board packs and meeting agendas and delivering them to the Directors.
- Circulating written board resolutions and other communications to the Directors.
- Filing of forms and documents with Companies House (e.g. new director appointments) and other authorities.
- Acting as the department liaison to the parent company and other International offices in respect of various administrative matters.
- Preparing and proofreading documents.
- Helping draft and send out template agreements and documentation to customers.
- Carrying out various operational control tasks, such as system access checks and monitoring.
- Maintaining and updating internal records and databases.
- Preparing presentations and reports.
What you will offer?
- 2-4 years experience working in a Compliance, In-house legal team or from a law practice.
- Degree level education.
- Passion for legal and regulatory work.
- Ability to manage a varied workload in a deadline driven environment.
