A Quality Technician opportunity has become available at May & Scofield Ltd. May & Scofield is a design and manufacturing business supplying technically demanding, high-volume products into the automotive, rail, military and aerospace sectors. The company operates with a strong shopfloor culture where quality directly supports performance, efficiency, and compliance.

Quality Technician responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating quality documentation, registers, and control records within the QMS.
  • Preparing quality performance reports, dashboards, and supporting data for audits and compliance activity.
  • Supporting in-process quality checks, measurement methods, and calibration record maintenance.
  • Conducting internal audits to help maintain quality certifications.
  • Logging and tracking internal/external NCRs and supporting root cause and corrective action follow-up.
  • Coordinating quality training sessions and maintaining a central register of improvement activity.
  • Assisting production projects through data collection, analysis, and document preparation.

Quality Technician desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role - Quality Inspector, Quality Coordinator.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.
  • Good understanding of IATF 16949, ISO9001 and quality management system principles.
  • Internal Auditor qualification for IATF16949 or ISO9001.
  • Experience of NCR logging, RCA, and structured problem-solving tools such as 5Y’s, fishbone diagram and 8D.
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
