About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and implement trading control improvements. The role requires close collaboration with Risk, Front Office, and Compliance teams to ensure governance, controls, and regulatory standards are effectively embedded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish project governance, including documentation and acting as PMO and central contact.
- Lead the implementation of trading control enhancements aligned with regulatory and risk management standards.
- Support the setup and maintenance of governance frameworks, control standards, and monitoring processes across FO and Middle/Back Office.
- Work closely with traders, risk teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure effective control implementation.
- Drive the review and improvement of control standards in collaboration with Non-Financial Risk.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a trading control inventory.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management, ensuring transparency on key risks and milestones.
- Ensure all initiatives align with UK regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management.
- Support the Business-As-Usual (BAU) team in preparing key documentation and training materials.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in investment banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of trading control frameworks and experience in implementing control improvements.
- Ability to work effectively with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- Solid understanding of UK regulatory frameworks and trading control expectations.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with senior management.
- Experience in governance, risk, and control implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills.
