About The Role

We are looking for a Program Manager with strong experience leading technology transformation programmes in the banking sector, especially around core banking and payments architecture. You will lead the delivery of a 12‑month core banking migration to replace the current platform (Finova) before its expiry in June 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the end‑to‑end core banking migration programme.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams in a regulated financial environment.
  • Manage programme budget, risks, milestones, and timelines.
  • Act as the key point of contact for C‑level stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure delivery avoids past integration mistakes and meets quality expectations.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of experience in transformation delivery and programme management.
  • Strong supplier management background: driving vendors to delivery plans, managing interdependencies, and owning scope/output to ensure agreed programme outcomes are delivered.
  • Deep knowledge of payments systems (SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, FPS, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of core banking architecture and cloud environments.
  • Experience in wholesale and retail banking transformation projects.
  • Professional certifications: Prince2, Agile, ITIL.
  • Strong experience working with FCA, PRA, and Bank of England.

📍 Location: Basingstoke (UK) – HYBRID – 3 days/week onsite required
