About The Role
We are looking for an IT Manager to provide operational oversight and strategic input into the technology, data, and digital estate of our client. You will help shape and execute the IT/Data roadmap, manage cyber risks, ensure service delivery excellence, and promote collaboration across a modern workplace environment. You'll report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and be a key player in shaping the future IT landscape. This is a hybrid role, with 2 days a week in the London office and flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve the performance of external IT service providers (Service Desk, Virtual Data Centre).
- Oversee change/release processes across platforms and endpoints.
- Lead cost‐efficiency initiatives and manage the IT asset register (software/hardware).
- Develop and evolve the IT/Data roadmap aligned with strategic priorities (focus: decommissioning Virtual Data Centre).
- Lead RFP processes and manage vendor selection to deliver business‐ready solutions.
- Ensure proper architecture input on security, performance, and availability.
- Oversee IT governance, compliance, and cybersecurity risk management.
- Drive adoption of Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and enforce governance.
- Manage the cyber risk register and implement endpoint/application controls with service partners.
- Report regularly to the CIO and stakeholders on project status, risks, and security incidents.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a corporate IT estate and external providers.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 adoption and information governance.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity controls, identity & access management, and incident coordination.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and IT governance frameworks.
