Are you an experienced Asset Manager with a passion for data accuracy, maintenance planning, and improving asset performance? We’re working on behalf of a major London-based organisation to find a confident and technically skilled Asset Manager to support their Estates & Facilities Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a pivotal role in optimising maintenance programmes and asset information across a diverse estate.

The Role

This role focuses on planned preventative maintenance, asset validation, compliance, and performance improvement. You will be central to the organisation’s efforts to maintain and develop a comprehensive, accurate asset database, using a CAFM system (Planon) and ensuring alignment with SFG20 standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting detailed asset surveys and uploading data using a Data Import Tool (DIT).
  • Validating existing asset information through inspections and physical checks.
  • Supporting updates to the CAFM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date registers.
  • Collaborating with the PPM Manager to develop maintenance schedules aligned with SFG20 standards.
  • Undertaking audits to monitor condition, compliance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Advising on lifecycle upgrades and improvements based on survey and system data.
  • Supporting BAU cover for related roles (e.g. PPM Manager or Asset Data Manager) as needed.
  • Delivering guidance and informal training on asset management best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Significant experience as an Asset Manager or in a similar planned maintenance-focused role.
  • Proficiency in CAFM systems (ideally Planon).
  • Strong understanding of SFG20, asset lifecycle, and PPM.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to validate and interpret complex data.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising across teams and with contractors.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards, health & safety, and environmental considerations.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in asset or facilities management.
  • Familiarity with ISO or similar maintenance standards.
  • Experience managing assets across varied building types, including residential or medical.
