Are you a hands-on, technically savvy professional with a background in managing M&E services in a high-performance environment? This office-based role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience in Mechanical & Electrical systems, excellent contractor management skills, and a proactive approach to facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of M&E contractors and subcontractors, ensuring all reactive and planned works are completed to a high standard.
- Act as the interface between internal stakeholders and the external service delivery team.
- Conduct regular building inspections and maintain asset registers.
- Monitor performance standards, support continuous improvement, and contribute to the long-term planning of infrastructure services.
- Assist in statutory compliance, risk management, and document administration.
- Support the implementation of energy-saving and smart-building initiatives.
- Assist in the management of infrastructure projects, office moves, and refurbishments.
- Oversee contract expenditure, purchase orders, and invoicing to maintain financial transparency.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met and maintained.
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Proven experience managing M&E systems and building services in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance practices.
- Experience working with and managing external contractors and suppliers.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and a hands-on, results-driven attitude.
- Good knowledge of building systems, including BMS and lighting controls.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent issues outside of standard working hours.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A-Level qualifications (or equivalent)
- HND or higher in a Mechanical and/or Electrical discipline
- IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualifications desirable
- Familiarity with MS Office, CAD, and reading technical drawings
- Experience in project management and infrastructure upgrades is a plus
