Key responsibilities: * Oversee Machinery set-up and operate machines * Loading materials and unloading finished products * Adjust machine settings as required * Follow technical drawings working to customer tolerances * Carefully follow procedures and safety guidelines. Including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentation * Maintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs. Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues * Ensure machines are well stocked with consumables to ensure limited downtime * Safety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machinery * Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods Skills & Behaviours: * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * Ability to follow instructions Qualifications, skills & experience: * Time served CNC Grinder * Experience in manual / CNC grinding on both surface and cylindrical grinding (Jones and Shipman machines & Haas multi-grind CB) * Ability to read technical drawings * Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components * Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures Shifts: Working hours rotate between early, back & night shift.
