Maxwell Consultancy are working closely with an established machine workshop in Ayrshire in their search for a CNC Miller. This is a full-time, permanent position working in their state of the art workshop in Prestwick. Working across a 2 shift pattern (early and back shift) with optional overtime available at enhanced rates. Making vital components for the Aerospace industry.
What's required?
- Time served CNC Machinist or vast experience working as machinist
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineer drawings
- Operating, setting and programming
- Working to tight tolerances
- Low to medium batch work
- Proficient with FANUC or Mazak controls beneficial (training provided)
- Experience working with Aerospace components advantageous
- Working early and back shift
- Subcontract machine shop experience beneficial
- Self-inspection of parts produced, resolving non-conformance issues
- Working towards continuous improvement methods within the workshop
- Doosan lathe experience beneficial
