Maxwell Consultancy are working with an established engineering business in Glasgow who have a newly created role for a CMM Quality Inspector. This is a full-time, permanent position working in their state of the art workshop in Glasgow. The business is continuing to grow rapidly with an extremely healthy order book. Working across various sectors making vital components such as Aerospace & Defence. What\’s required? * Time served engineer or vast experience working as Quality Engineer * Working a 4 day week with Fridays off * Goods in, First Off, Running, Pre & Post Subcon, and Final Inspection. * Process non-conforming components in a timely manner. * Support First Article Inspection Report (FAIRs) * Check and calibrate Measurement Equipment.. * Proficient in first principal inspection methods. * Maintain and support 6S activities in inspection areas. * Support Zero Defects (ZD) activities. * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * CMM awareness – setting, interpretation & reporting * Manual measuring * HSE awareness * AS 9100 awareness * Continuous improvement methods * Auditing experience in a similar environment * PCDMIS software experience beneficial but not essential as training provided * CMM experience * Rotating 2 weeks between day shift (£19.50 per hour) and night shift (£26 per hour).
