Maxwell Consultancy are working with a tier 1 supplier to the Aerospace industry who require an experienced Buyer to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting in to the Group Head of Supply Chain.

The business operates across three manufacturing sites in the UK and Europe, supplying high performance components to the aerospace and defence sectors. As they continue to expand, they are strengthening the purchasing function at their Glasgow headquarters to support their ambitious growth plans.
The Opportunity
Buyers play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, services, and subcontract support across the business. You will own the full procurement life cycle for your category from tendering and negotiation through to supplier performance, cost control, and on time delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated purchasing professional looking to step into a fast paced, growth driven environment where you can make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong partnerships with manufacturing teams to ensure timely material availability and subcontract support aligned with production schedules.
- Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routes

- Provide commercial input on pricing and lead times to support customer proposals and maximise competitiveness.
