Business Development & Account Management Manchester | Hybrid | £27.5k base | £40k OTE Year 1 (uncapped)
You've got around a year of B2B sales or recruitment experience. You know how to pick up the phone, build rapport, and win business - and now you're ready for a role with more ownership, better progression, and proper earning potential?
We're hiring a Business Development & Account Manager to join a Manchester-based team. This is a hybrid role combining new business development with account management - ideal if you want to move beyond pure cold outreach and start building long-term client relationships.
Why this role?
- £40,000+ realistic year-one OTE (uncapped commission)
- Clear progression into Account Management, Senior Sales, or Team Leadership
- Hybrid working
- Direct exposure to strategic growth projects alongside the Sales Director
- A supportive, high-performance environment where development is taken seriously
The role
You'll take ownership of a sizeable client base while continuing to develop new relationships:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of ~200 accounts
- Developing long-term relationships with agencies
- Generating new business and referrals through calls, emails, and relationship-led outreach
- Attending client meetings and hospitality (lunches, coffees, drinks) when required
- Identifying opportunities to increase account value and retention
This is not a call-centre role and not pure new business - it's about becoming a trusted commercial partner.
What we're looking for
- 12+ months' experience in B2B sales or recruitment
- Comfortable starting conversations and building relationships from scratch
- Commercially minded, organised, and motivated by progression
If you're currently in sales or recruitment and feel ready for more responsibility, better earnings, and a clearer career path, this is a strong next step.
