We are hiring Solution Architects to turn Descrial's platform into working deployments inside investment firms. A credible design has to account for the client's data, permissions and definition of a good result before anyone goes live. You will lead technical discovery and own integration decisions that the next deployment can reuse. We are hiring two people at senior and principal levels. About Descrial Descrial is a startup inside a twenty-year-old company TresVista has run the analytical work behind private capital since 2006. 2,000 people, 400+ clients including some of the biggest names in the industry, no outside capital and no outside board. That was the first chapter. And we enjoyed getting here! The next chapter is harder and more interesting We are moving from services to software, from one firm's workflows to an industry's, and from executing investment decisions to shaping how they get made. Thirty of us in King's Cross, small and senior, with day one founder intensity. At its fullest expression, Descrial changes how every serious investment firm decides. The role You report to the Head of Engineering and spend roughly half your time with clients. This is an engineering role: you read code and debug integrations with engineers rather than write production features. You connect the Java/Spring core and Python AI services, and explain the trade-offs to client CTOs. Your remit The solution You lead discovery workshops and translate client requirements into APIs, authentication, data flows and tenancy decisions. You design solutions across core services, LLM features, retrieval and knowledge graphs over client-approved data, and agent workflows. Architecture diagrams, non-functional requirements for security, performance and compliance, and implementation roadmaps give engineering a plan it can commit to. The acceptance bar You agree on acceptance criteria and accuracy expectations before go-live, using golden examples from the client's own corpus. With the client, you define agent autonomy, approval steps, action audit trails and accountability. You advise where retrieval, fine-tuning or agents fit the work and explain their limitations. A repeatable deployment You keep tenant isolation, auditability and observability inside the design, aligned with AWS and CI/CD patterns. You support pilots and production cutovers, making data-residency, latency and model-behaviour risks explicit with workable mitigations. In technical pre-sales and proof-of-concept scoping, you turn individual client solutions into patterns the next deployment can use. Your experience * You have 5+ years in software or infrastructure, including 3+ years in client-facing solution, enterprise or technical architecture. * You understand REST, AWS, SaaS multi-tenancy and security fundamentals well enough to defend an integration design. * You can read Python and/or Java APIs and debug integration problems alongside engineers. * You have scoped or deployed LLM capability for enterprise clients and can explain how success was measured. * You communicate clearly with clients and manage stakeholders through technical trade-offs. * You have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Useful to have, none required * Private equity, investment or financial-services workflows * Enterprise data governance and AI-governance conversations with regulated buyers * AWS Solutions Architect or a comparable certification * Daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code, with a considered view of where they help The reality This will be difficult. It demands pace and accuracy. We are building autonomous systems inside high-stakes live businesses, where decisions carry real consequences and impact and waiting for everyone to agree is not always an option. The systems will sometimes get things wrong. In this phase the London team needs to create the evaluations, visibilities and safeguards that catch mistakes early, reducing them over time and stopping the same failures happening again. If you want to build the foundations of an enterprise grade technology platform to service a multi-billion $ serviceable market opportunity, and share in that growth, this is your chance to join us. In our conversations Come ready to discuss three pieces of work: * A client integration you designed: the data and permission boundaries, the trade-offs and the result. * An AI deployment you scoped: the acceptance criteria and how you measured success on client data. * A pilot or cutover you supported: the risk you identified and how you reduced it. Compensation The all-inclusive package is typically £110,000–£130,000 a year, depending on experience. Practical details * King's Cross, London. In office (3 to 5 days a week), with colleagues in London and Bengaluru. * Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. * We aim to finish the process within three weeks. Tell us if you need an adjustment to the interviews. * Descrial is an equal opportunity employer. *Your application will be passed to our screening partner Chooseto.AI
