This is a hands-on role combining application support, DevOps, and production ownership. You will act as a key technical interface between UK stakeholders and offshore engineering teams, ensuring live systems remain stable, secure, and performant. The role is best suited to someone who has previously operated in a security-cleared or regulated environment (SC or NPPV L2 within the last 3 years) and is comfortable working in production-critical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and support UK production environments for .NET applications
  • Lead resolution of complex live incidents (L2/L3 support)
  • Perform root cause analysis across application, infrastructure, and database layers
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and support deployment and release processes
  • Troubleshoot and optimise SQL Server performance and data issues
  • Collaborate with offshore engineering teams to deliver fixes and improvements
  • Act as a senior technical point of contact for UK stakeholders and clients
  • Support incident management, monitoring, and post-incident reviews

Required Experience

  • Must have held SC clearance or NPPV Level 2 within the last 3 years
  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# applications
  • Background in application support, DevOps, or production engineering roles
  • Advanced SQL Server experience (performance tuning, troubleshooting, complex queries)
  • Experience supporting live production systems and incident resolution
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Experience working in structured or regulated environments

Key Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting across application, infrastructure, and database layers

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in government, defence, policing, or regulated sectors
  • Exposure to UK data sovereignty or compliance frameworks (e.g. UK GDPR)

  • DevOps / cloud certifications (Azure / AWS)

Why this role?

  • Ownership of critical UK production systems
  • Senior technical responsibility in a secure, high-trust environment
