We are supporting an established engineering business with the appointment of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of mechanical design activity across a number of technically complex programmes.
The role will suit someone with a strong aerospace, defence, or similarly regulated engineering background, with experience taking designs from concept through detailed design, build, integration and test.
Key requirements include:
- Strong mechanical design experience using SolidWorks or CATIA
- Metallic and composite structural design
- UAV, eVTOL, Aerospace experience or equivalent
- GD&T and manufacturing-ready engineering drawings
- Prototyping, integration and test support
- FEA, hand calculations and engineering trade studies
- PDM/PLM and controlled design release
- Experience leading technical work and supporting less experienced engineers
