We're exclusively partnering with a growing Cyber Security Consultancy that's looking to make its first dedicated sales hire as part of an exciting phase of growth. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a highly respected cyber security business and work directly alongside the CEO to drive revenue growth, shape the sales function, and ultimately build and lead a team as the company scales.
If you're a proven cyber security sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and generating new business opportunities, this role offers genuine progression and the chance to have a significant impact on the future direction of the business.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional sales role where you'll be joining an established commercial team. You'll be the company's first strategic sales hire, reporting directly into the CEO and playing a pivotal role in developing and executing the business growth strategy. The organisation already has a strong reputation within the cyber security market and delivers a broad portfolio of services to clients across multiple sectors. They are now looking for an ambitious sales professional who can help accelerate growth and become a key part of the leadership journey.
Initially, you'll work closely with the CEO, receiving support and guidance on larger enterprise opportunities while taking ownership of developing new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships. Over time, you'll have the opportunity to help build and lead a sales function around you.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities across the cyber security market.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell a broad range of cyber security services.
- Conduct discovery meetings and understand customer challenges.
- Work closely with technical and leadership teams to develop winning solutions.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting.
- Represent the business at networking events, conferences and industry functions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the company's commercial strategy.
About You
We're looking for someone who can operate autonomously and enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities from scratch. You'll likely have:
- Experience selling Cyber Security Consultancy, Managed Security Services (MSSP), Security Operations Centre (SOC), Professional Services or wider Cyber Security solutions.
- Proven success in a new business-focused sales role.
- Experience managing a full 360 sales cycle.
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A commercial mindset with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
- The confidence to operate independently whilst collaborating closely with senior leadership.
- A genuine desire to grow with a business and take on greater responsibility over time.
What's In It For You?
- £55,000 - £60,000 basic salary.
- Uncapped commission structure.
- Realistic OTE of £110,000 - £120,000+.
- Direct access to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Opportunity to become the first commercial hire in a growing cyber security consultancy.
- Clear pathway towards building and leading a sales team.
- Hybrid working model.
- Significant autonomy and influence within the business.
- Long-term career progression in a high-growth environment.
If you're looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely shape the future of a cyber security business rather than simply becoming another salesperson in a large organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
