Are you an Application Support Engineer who enjoys getting to the root cause of complex technical issues rather than simply passing them on? Maxwell Bond have partnered with a growing FinTech business in Manchester, who are a leading provider of financial management solutions, and are looking to hire an Application Support Engineer. Supporting high-profile clients, you'll play a key role in ensuring critical transactions and operational processes run smoothly, investigating and resolving issues across databases, APIs, integrations, and applications. Working within a small, highly collaborative team, you'll be given the autonomy to take ownership of incidents from start to finish. You'll provide support to customers across the US market, meaning you'll be required to work a shift pattern of 12pm–8pm.
What you'll do as an Application Support Engineer:
- Advanced 3rd line support for business critical software platforms.
- Investigate and resolve complex customer issues, escalating software defects.
- Communicate with internal technical teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to internal improvement projects and process enhancements during quieter periods.
What We're looking for:
- Previous experience working in Application Support, Technical Support, or Software Support.
- Very strong SQL Server database skills, writing, troubleshooting and optimising complex queries.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Experience working with Microsoft core technology.
