We're working with a well-established financial services organisation in the North West that is looking to appoint a SecOps Engineer to join its growing cybersecurity function.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting and enhancing the organisation’s security operations capability, helping to protect critical systems, respond to security threats, and improve overall security posture. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you’ll assist with security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, security tooling, and the implementation of security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain security technologies and controls.
- Support security incident response, investigation, and remediation activities.
- Assist with vulnerability management and penetration testing remediation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and controls.
- Support security governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Work with infrastructure, cloud, and project teams to ensure security is embedded across technology initiatives.
- Help maintain and optimise security monitoring and logging capabilities.
About You
- Around 3 years' experience in a cybersecurity, security operations, or security engineering role.
- Good understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, NCSC, or MITRE ATT&CK.
- Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, email security, and vulnerability management tools.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure security capabilities.
- Familiarity with incident response, threat detection, and security monitoring.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
