We have partnered with a leading financial services organisation in Liverpool who are looking for a Lead Business Analyst to oversee their Business Analyst team. They are rapidly expanding their technology team and need someone to put their own stamp on leading the team of BAs.

You will work closely with cross-functional technology teams and play a key role in driving projects from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. You will also deliver end-to-end technical business analysis across change initiatives, supporting Agile delivery and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Analysts to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications including As-Is and To-Be processes.
  • Ensure alignment of project deliverables with business goals and technology capabilities.
  • Support design, development, and testing efforts with clear documentation (architecture, data flows, integrations, configurations).
  • Analyse data using SQL and Excel to inform decisions.
  • Provide insight into integrations, APIs and automation opportunities.
Key requirements:
  • Strong at interpreting technical documentation and translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Uses data and technical insight to guide decision-making.
  • Agile/Scrum environment experience.
  • Experience leading a team and cross-department collaboration.
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel and BA tools.
  • Financial services experience is an advantage.

Salary up to 46K, Hybrid work (3 days in office), 35 days’ holiday.
