The Role
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join us in designing, building, testing, managing deployments and supporting our services in production. Joining a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of technologies, supporting a fast pace of change.

The day-to-day responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in many aspects of infrastructure from design through delivery to operations, including but not limited to:
- Infrastructure strategy, planning, and road-mapping
- Critical infrastructure operational run and management
- Troubleshooting issues as a senior point of escalation
- Disaster Recovery planning and implementation
- Supporting our IT Services team with infrastructure related issues
- Writing documentation to outline infrastructure designs, decisions, and technical specifications to support the team
- Project delivery of infrastructure improvement initiatives and infrastructure elements of tech initiatives, both internally and within customers
- Solution designing to meet functional, operational, resilience and budgetary requirements
- Operational monitoring covering availability, performance, reliability, and security of existing infrastructure environments
Your skills and attributes
- Demonstratable experience in managing Networks, Windows & Linux servers, and Cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS etc.)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working across Infrastructure Environments, ideally in a software development business
- Experience, or knowledge of Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Experience of SIEM, monitoring, logging, and reporting tools (e.g., Site 24x7 / N-Central)
- Familiarity with ISO:27001 and PCI DSS and experience in improving IT systems to adhere to security guidelines, acting proactively and reactively
- Experience with Active Directory / Azure Active Directory management and implementation
- Ability to write scripts to automate processes (e.g., PowerShell, Bash etc.)
- Experience working in a software development environment, with knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes, IIS, and application hosting environments
- Experience and good working knowledge of database management, including general maintenance, backup, and disaster management
- Knowledge of general networking (routing, firewall, VPN etc.)
- Knowledge of DNS protocols, configuration, and management
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills including root cause analysis and postmortems
