About the Company
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading cyber security consultancy undergoing strong growth across the UK. The business delivers a full suite of managed security services, advisory consulting, and security tooling solutions, working with enterprise and mid-market clients. They’re now seeking a Sales Manager to lead, develop and empower their expanding sales team in either the Glasgow or Newcastle office.
The Role
This leadership role is focused on enabling success across the entire sales team. You’ll carry the team quota rather than an individual target, providing structure, coaching and accountability across the sales function. This is a strategic and people-focused role—not a “player-manager” post that requires jumping in to save deals. Instead, you’ll build capability, strengthen forecasting discipline, and ensure your team consistently hits targets through high-quality sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, coach and develop a team of cybersecurity sales professionals.
- Manage and own the team’s revenue target, ensuring performance is on track monthly and quarterly.
- Drive effective forecasting, pipeline management, and sales governance.
- Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and hold the team accountable.
- Provide deal guidance, strategic support, and oversight where needed.
- Work closely with technical, delivery and leadership teams to support successful outcomes.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of sales staff.
- Contribute to overall commercial strategy and continuous improvement of sales processes.
- Represent the sales function as a senior leader both internally and externally.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience managing sales teams—ideally within cyber security, managed services, or wider tech sales.
- Strong background in cybersecurity sales, such as MDR/SOC, managed services, consultancy, or security tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and elevate the performance of sales professionals.
- Strong forecasting, pipeline review and sales process governance experience.
- Strong communication, people leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to operate in-office 3 days per week in Glasgow or Newcastle.
What’s On Offer
- £95k–£110k basic salary
- 50% OTE (uncapped)
- Significant leadership influence within a respected cyber security consultancy
- Opportunity to shape, grow and mature the sales function
- Supportive environment with strong technical and delivery capability
