We’re partnering with a high-growth SaaS business backed by leading VC/PE investors, now entering its next phase of scale. With a strong product, established customer base, and significant market opportunity, the business is looking for a Director of Account Management to take ownership of post-sales revenue and build a best-in-class function.
This is a critical leadership role, responsible for driving growth across existing accounts while maintaining exceptional retention. You’ll inherit and lead a team of 15 Account Managers, with the mandate to elevate performance, instil structure, and maximise commercial outcomes.
The Role
- Lead, develop, and scale a team of 15 Account Managers across the UK
- Own and deliver on revenue targets, with a strong focus on upsell, cross-sell, and account expansion
- Drive retention strategies, reducing churn and increasing customer lifetime value
- Build and refine account management processes, playbooks, and performance metrics
- Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to align on customer growth strategy
- Make data-driven decisions to improve team performance and account outcomes
- Recruit, coach, and, where necessary, make tough people decisions to build a high-performing team
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading Account Management or Customer Growth teams within a SaaS environment
- Strong track record of driving revenue growth through existing accounts
- Experience operating in a VC or PE-backed business, with an understanding of pace, pressure, and performance expectations
- Comfortable managing teams at scale (15+), with a focus on coaching, accountability, and results
- Commercially astute, with the ability to balance growth and retention strategies
- Experience working with SMB through to mid-market/enterprise customers
- A hands-on leader who can operate both strategically and tactically
