Account Manager – Wales

Location: Remote (Wales-based with regular travel across the region)

An established, market-leading EdTech solutions provider is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee key commercial partnerships across Wales. In this high-profile role, you will lead regional strategy, manage a diverse customer base of Local Authorities and schools, and drive the adoption of innovative digital solutions that enhance education delivery.

You’ll play a vital role in influencing key decision-makers within local education ecosystems and government advisory bodies, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of EdTech innovation in Wales. This is an opportunity to combine strategic sales with relationship management, helping shape the future of education technology across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships
  • Manage the entire sales cycle
  • Influence and engage with key sector stakeholders, including government bodies and advisory panels
  • Manage pre-tender activity and lead competitive tender processes
  • Be the voice of the Welsh customer internally
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams across customer support, marketing, and product development
  • Present impactful business cases and progress reports to internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and account health, maintaining churn below 5%
  • Utilize CRM tools and data insights to manage pipeline

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven success in strategic sales, account management, or public sector business development, ideally within SaaS, technology, or education sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the Welsh education landscape, policy environment, and public procurement processes.
