Maxlife Care is an autonomous, nongovernmental, for-profit organisation providing general and specialist nursing care, personal care, and domestic support to the disabled population with complex care needs residing within the community. With NDIS focus, our service is structured to assist the individual to remain within their own home environment and reduce the occurrence of premature or inappropriate presentations to Emergency departments.

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse who is passionate about the care of complex care participants in the community. The key purpose of this role is to undertake a variety of general nursing duties under the direction of the Head of Clinical Care including client assessment, medication management, care planning/plan review and liaising with appropriate stakeholders to ensure appropriate care for clients in accordance with Maxlife Care Mission Statement.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to achieve the clinical strategic objectives.
- Use your growth mindset to promote a continuous improvement program to ensure standards of care are upheld, exceeded and maintained.
- Act as a role model and mentor for area supervisors, team leaders, care workers and colleagues.
- Develop and review new and existing relevant protocols.
- Provide relevant care and clinical training to ensure staff competence – delivering education and training to front line workers.
- Attend to participants/clients as and when required to deliver specific clinical care/interventions (e.g. wound care, supra pubic catheter care, skin care and range of complex care including tracheostomy care).
- Attend and actively participate in client meetings as a representative of the clinical team.
- Review/analyze incident reports in conjunction with the Head of Risk, and advise the Chief Medical Officer of related issues.
To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
- Be an AHPRA registered nurse with no restrictions.
- Post Graduate qualifications in relevant field and minimum 2 years’ experience working in a clinical role will be advantageous.
- Experience working in the community setting (i.e. community nursing).
- Current Driver’s license.
- Possess strong focus on person-centered, exceptional care and a commitment to quality client outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- The ability to manage change and provide responsive services to meet client needs.
