About The Role
You will act as a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, using your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life.
The role involves complex physical, mental health and chronic pain cases, providing compassionate support that helps customers progress in their lives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life.
- Produce Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining eligibility for benefits.
- Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback, supervision and ongoing support.
Requirements
- Valid NMC registration number.
- At least one year of broad post‑registration adult or mental health experience, gained within or outside the NHS.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
