The role involves working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) on weight management programmes. The coordinator will support complex families and communities to make sustained behaviour changes, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs.
- Support individual children, young people, and families on our programmes
- Work with communities to empower them to support children with SEND
- Assist in delivering the BZ Families programme across Gloucestershire
- Develop and implement high-quality learning resources tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Handle administrative tasks such as participant sign-up, data capture, and reporting
- Support triage processes across BeeZee Bodies programmes
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in youth, community, wellbeing, health, education, social care, or counselling
- Lived experience of working with or living with people with SEND
Experience
Essential
- Experience working with children and young people
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex needs
- Experience organizing events involving young people
Desirable
- Experience designing and delivering engaging sessions for young people with SEND
- Experience in health, education, or social care environments, or supporting healthy lifestyles
- Experience managing safeguarding cases

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems

- Line managed by the Contract Manager of BeeZee Bodies Gloucestershire
- Part of the BeeZee Bodies Gloucestershire team, delivering weight management services to children and young people (CYP) and their families
- Collaborate with community organizations, partners, and families for effective service delivery in Gloucestershire
- Provide feedback to partners and community organizations for programme development
